Scott Bruno et al vs Mix’d Greens Inc et al

In Bruno v. Mix’d Greens, a commercial landscape company was sued by several employees for alleged unpaid overtime wages.   The claims had no merit and the case settled for nuisance value.  This appeal concerned the employees’ attorney claims for more than $200,000 in attorneys fees – which the court denied.  The District Court of Appeals agreed.

Imico Brickell LLC etc vs David T Yu

In Imico Brickell v. David Yu, a pre-construction condominium case where developer seized the buyer’s deposits when he tried to cancel the agreement,  the trial court concluded that the buyer properly terminated his contract and was entitled to reimbursement.  The District Court of Appeals agreed.

Omayda Santos vs Citimortgage Inc

In Omayda Santos v. Citimortgage Inc, a mortgage foreclosure case where elements of fraud and conspiracy were evident with respect to a mortgage, the court found it more likely that the property owner had some knowledge of the mortgage fraud committed by her nephew and a title agent, allowing the bank to foreclose on the property.  The District Court of Appeals agreed.

Mayor Slaton & Town of Miami Lakes vs Michael A Pizzi Jr

In Slaton & Town of Miami Lakes vs Michael A Pizzi Jr, where an interim Mayor and a Town refused to allow the reinstatement of their temporarily suspended Mayor, Reiner & Reiner, P.A. partnered with three other South Florida law firms seeking to have Mr. Pizzi returned to office.  The District Court of Appeals held an extraordinary oral argument and ordered the former Mayor reinstated.

Llano Financing Group v Kelly H. Kellog, et al,

Llano Financing Group v Kelly H. Kellog, et al, is an appeal of a final dismissal of a lawsuit for a negligent appraisal. The trial court granted a motion to dismiss with prejudice, based on the contents of the operative complaint based on the running of the statute of limitations.
